The aim of the Food Security Sector is to improve the food security of needy and vulnerable Palestinians, including refugees and IDPs, by ensuring immediate direct access to food and protecting/restoring their livelihoods and enhancing resilience.

With rampant poverty and unemployment, food insecurity is on the rise in Gaza, making uninterrupted food assistance critical to protect the livelihoods of vulnerable Palestinians. Photo by WFP
